Nenagh Neptune End of Term Fun Day

The 2022 end of season annual outing proved to be a huge success as swimmers took to their surf boards on the Wild Atlantic Way and enjoyed a 2-hour surf lesson followed by Fish and Chips on the sea front in Lahinch, County Clare. Surf lessons were co-ordinated by Mikey O’Dywer (Coach) with both the Green Room and Lahinch Surf School providing the lessons. Although the weather was not in the surfer’s favour the event was hugely popular and a fun filled day was enjoyed by all. Copious cups of hot chocolate were required to reheat the surfers and unfortunately due to the rain and wind the day ended sooner than the club would have liked. It was however a wonderful way to celebrate what was a very successful 2021/2022 season for our club.
Thank you to our swimmers who as always were exemplary in their behaviour on the day, to their parents for making the trip and to our hard working committee and coaches Uta and Mikey for co-ordinating.
